What happens when you order my art?

Have you ever wondered what happens when you order a piece of art from an artist? While I can’t speak for every artist, I can speak for me!

Preparing a work of art for its journey to you is a ritual in itself. One that benefits you, me, and the world we live in. I’ll fill you in on just a few steps I take when preparing a package for delivery.

1. Freaking out. It’s exciting to see that someone liked something I’ve created so much that they want it to live with them. That childlike sugar rush is one of the reasons I make art for a living.

2. Recycled boxes. Since starting my business in 2019, I’ve used recycled cardboard boxes for almost every shipment. Instead of hitting a landfill, they get cut to size using templates I’ve made to fit each unique piece of art. I never thought math would come in handy in my art but I was wrong about that! Dimensions are everything and investing in a box cutter was one of my best decisions.

3. Bubble Wrap. Gotta make sure your art is safe in transit. Depending on the piece, I wrap your painting to withstand every bump in the journey. For prints, I make sure each corner is protected so that it arrives without a scratch.

4. Final touches. It’s important to me that your experience is unique. Just like the art you’re purchasing. I include a certificate of authenticity and a personal letter with each order that is not part of my print on demand services. It’s not uncommon to get a sticker or additional print in there from time to time…a few surprises are always fun!

5. Exercise. Once I have your package ready, It’s time for my daily exercise routine! My favorite part of the day is walking to the post office. I get a full 3 mile walk in each day just for delivering art to the post office. I cut down on driving which helps with exhaust pollution and I keep my mental and physical health up while safely hand-delivering your artwork to the carrier.

Each order receives an email update with a tracking code once the shipping label has been made. Make sure to check your spam folder if you do not get one! I check on each order daily to make sure there are no hiccups in the delivery process. Once I see that the art is delivered I feel a great sense of joy and accomplishment knowing it’s being enjoyed at home with you.

Hope you enjoyed hearing about the process and please follow along on socials for more info on my events, new work, and more!
